MVA Preschool

The MVA Preschool Educational Plan 2083 aims to foster holistic developmental and academic growth in children aged 2 – 4 through the integration of language, physical coordination, numeracy, and social-emotional learning. The following objectives represent the core pillars of the MVA  Preschool experience, infusing local institutional goals with national standards:

  • Implementation of a Child-Centered Institutional Curriculum: To move beyond traditional teacher-led instruction by establishing a school environment where the child’s natural interests and developmental pace lead the learning process. The institution serves as a facilitator for “learning through play,” ensuring
  • that pedagogical activities are flexible, engaging, and aligned with the National Curriculum’s mandate for activity-based growth.
  • Perfect Object Identification with Proper Pronunciation: To develop sharp cognitive and linguistic accuracy by training children to recognize, categorize, and name objects in their immediate surroundings. A key focus is placed on phonetic clarity, ensuring that as children build their vocabulary, they achieve correct pronunciation in both their mother tongue and the medium of instruction.
  • General Conversation Tailored to Level and Needs: To empower students with the confidence to engage in functional, age-appropriate dialogue. The goal is to progress from simple recognition to meaningful conversation, allowing children to clearly express their personal needs, share their feelings, and interact socially with peers and educators.
  • Holistic Competency Development: To ensure all-round growth across seven key areas: Language and Literacy, Physical Development, Numeracy and Cognitive Development, Personal Health and Safety, Social-Emotional Development, Environmental Awareness, and Creative Arts.
  • Preparation for Future Academic Pathways: To establish the foundational literacy, numeracy, and behavioral habits necessary for a smooth transition into the Preparatory Level (Grades 1 – 3), fostering a lifelong love for learning and exploration.

MVA preschool is”play-based,” rather than providing formal instruction in academic subjects. Playing with other children, away from adults, helps children learn to make their own decisions, control their emotions and impulses, see things from others’ perspectives, negotiate differences, and make friends. In short, play is how children learn to take control of their lives.

MVA Preparatory level

The MVA Preparatory Level is to nurture confident, curious, and capable young learners aged 5 to 7, who develop strong foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, communication, and character through a child-centered and activity-based learning environment. This level aims to build independent thinkers who read fluently, write clearly, speak confidently, and demonstrate positive values in both academic and social settings. The following objectives represent the core pillars of the MVA Preparatory Level experience, infusing local institutional goals with national standards:

  • Child-Centered Activity-Based Approach: At the Preparatory Level, learning is designed to be interactive, engaging, and meaningful. Through games, storytelling, projects, role-play, and hands-on classroom activities, students actively participate in the learning process rather than passively receiving information. This approach nurtures curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and confidence, ensuring that children enjoy learning while developing essential academic and social skills.
  • Read with Proper Pronunciation: Students develop strong phonics foundations and blending skills to ensure accurate and fluent reading. Emphasis is placed on correct pronunciation, articulation, intonation, and expression in both English and Nepali. Regular guided reading, echo reading, and oral practice help students gain confidence and clarity in speech while building lifelong reading habits.
  • Understand and Express Learnt Matters: The Preparatory Level strengthens listening comprehension and encourages students to think critically about what they learn. Children are guided to explain concepts in their own words, answer questions in structured sentences, and share ideas confidently. This objective ensures that students not only memorize content but truly understand and communicate their learning effectively.
  • General Conversation and Factual Writing: Students are encouraged to participate in daily conversations using clear and complete sentences. They learn to introduce themselves, describe people and objects, and express opinions respectfully. Alongside oral communication, students develop structured writing skills, including paragraph writing, personal information writing, and factual descriptions, building a strong foundation for formal academic expression.
  • Proper Handwriting: Proper handwriting is emphasized to ensure clarity, discipline, and presentation in written work. Students are trained in correct pencil grip, stroke formation, spacing, and alignment. Through guided practice, they develop neat and legible handwriting in both English and Nepali, fostering pride and accuracy in their written communication.
Success is an irresistible aspiration of humankind but attaining it is as tough as getting out of Minotaur's Maze. One may head towards chasm if not guided properly during his/her early age. Choosing MVA for my schooling has helped me gather strength to face the unknown tomorrow. Needless to say, MVA stands as a unique institution dedicated to excellence, value infused teaching with specialized attention among small groups and broad educational programs. Keeping the child’s psychology in mind, MVA Elementary Level believes in the learning method based on constructive classes. Our educational plan utilizes a nationally recognized core curriculum combined with additional curricula to produce a custom learning experience. MVA Elementary program not only benefits and challenges the students intellectually, but also enhances their base of knowledge for the further programs that are equally important for their academics and their lives. MVA is here to facilitate and encourage each individual as they set out on the life-long journey of learning. Basic subjects are taught in this level, and students often remain in one classroom throughout the school day, except for specialized programs, such as physical education, library, dance, and classes.

Ideal teachers are those who use themselves as bridges over which they invite their students to cross, then having facilitated their crossing, joyfully collapse, encouraging them to create bridges of their own. Be proud that you are an MVAian and you are being nurtured by such a resourceful family.
