MVA Preschool
Vision: Provide exceptional care to children while fostering each child’s intellectual, social, physical, moral and aesthetic development in an academic-rich environment.
Our Philosophy: MVA Preschool consists of age group from 2 to 5 years. It includes grade Nursery, LKG and UKG. MVA believes the core skills needed for a successful, productive life are learned and enlarged before the age of 6 since this is the most important years of learning as humans are capable of absorbing more information and the brain grows most rapidly in the early years. Learning, communication, emotional and interpersonal skills are developed during these formative years. In a safe, caring environment, MVA nurtures each child into reaching his or her full creative, intellectual, social and independent self. MVA recognizes the extraordinary expansion that occurs during these early years. Therefore, it focuses on stimulating each child’s innate craving for knowledge by introducing and reinforcing core learning competencies and promoting accelerated growth.
MVA uses a proprietary curriculum and age-specific materials to stimulate education. Children are exposed to a wide variety of experiences to expand creative thinking, and make each day exciting. Our curriculum utilizes a nationally recognized core curriculum combined with additional curricula to produce a custom learning experience. Homework links and materials are utilized to encourage parental participation.
MVA teachers and administrators understand children respond best to teachers who instruct with love and kindness. MVA teachers are experienced and trained to educate in this nurturing fashion. Administrators support and train these behaviors. Safety and security is the highest priority at MVA. Security cameras monitor activity in each classroom. Administrators physically visit each room to visually and verbally monitor the safety of all children in each classroom.
MVA’s goal is to have each parent and child excited to be part of our system each day. The areas of development that preschool education cover vary. However, the following main themes are typically offered in MVA preschool:
- Personal, social, economic and emotional development
- Communication, talking and listening
- World knowledge and understanding
- Creative and aesthetic development
- Mathematical awareness
- Physical development
- Physical health
- Teamwork
- Self-help skills
- Social skills
- Scientific thinking
- Literacy
MVA preschools are “play based,” rather than attempting to provide formal instruction in academic subjects. Playing with other children, away from adults, is how children learn to make their own decisions, control their emotions and impulses, see from others’ perspectives, negotiate differences with others, and make friends. In short, play is how children learn to take control of their lives.
