									<p><strong>१. कवि परिचय</strong></p><p>नोपली साहित्यका सुप्रसिद्ध कवि भूपि शेरचनको जन्म विक्रम सम्वत् १९९२ पुस १२ गते मुस्ताङ जिल्लाको टुकुचे भन्ने गाउँमा भएको हो । पिता सुब्बा हितमान शेरचन र माता पदमकुमारी शेरचनका कान्छा छोरा भूपि शेरचनको खास नाम भूपेन्द्रमान शेरचन हो । उहाँका ‘घुम्ने मेचमाथि अन्धो मान्छे’, ‘परिवर्तन’, ‘नयाँ झ्याउरे’ जस्ता कविता सङ्ग्रह प्रकाशित छन् । प्रस्तुत ‘गलत लाग्छ मलाई मेरो देशको इतिहास’ र ‘मेरो चोक’ कविता उनको ‘घुम्ने मेचमाथि अन्धो मान्छे’ कविता सङ्ग्रहमा सङ्ग्रहित छन् ।</p><p><strong>२.</strong> <strong>कविताको भाषाशैलीः</strong></p><p>‘गलत लाग्छ मलाई मेरो देशको इतिहास’ र ‘मेरो चोक’ कवितामा नेपाली भाषाको प्रयोग भएको छ । केही शब्द अत्यन्तै सरल, सहज र सुबोध्य छन् भने केही शब्द दुर्बोध्य पनि छन् । कविले बङ्ग्याएर विषयवस्तु प्रस्तुत गरेका छन् । सजिला शब्दले पनि गहिरो अर्थ दिएका छन् । हरेक हरफमा हृदय छुने भाव छ । समग्रमा यी कविताको भाषाशैली बोधगम्य नै छ भन्न सकिन्छ ।</p><p><strong>३.</strong> <strong>कविताको विषयवस्तु</strong></p><p>‘गलत लाग्छ मलाई मेरो देशको इतिहास’ र ‘मेरो चोक’ कवितामा कविले नेपाली समाजमा रहेका विसङ्गतीहरू प्रस्तुत गर्न खोजेका छन् । विभिन्न हिंसा, हत्या व्यभिचार, कमिकमजोरीहरू प्रस्तुत गर्दै भोक र रोग जस्ता समस्यालाई कविताको विषयवस्तु बनाइएको छ ।</p><p><strong>४.</strong> <strong>कविताको भावः</strong></p><p>‘गलत लाग्छ मलाई मेरो देशको इतिहास’ र ‘मेरो चोक’ कवितामा कविले नेपाली समाजको सजीव चित्र प्रस्तुत गरेका छन् । गरिबी र मौनताले भरिएको चोकमा एक दुई दिन बास बस्दा कविलाई नेपालको इतिहास नै गलत लाग्छ किनभने उनले सुनेका थिए कि वीर पुर्खाले देशका लागि बलिदान दिएका कुरा तर जब उनले नेपालको दयनीय स्थिति देखे उनलाई नेपालको इतिहास नै गलत पो हो कि भन्ने कुरा व्यक्त गरे । उनले नारी माथि भइरहेको अन्याय र अत्याचारका बारेमा सुन्छन् तब उनलाई स्त्री शक्तिको महिमा गाउने नेपालको इतिहास नै गलत लाग्छ । वर्तमान नेपाल हेर्दा उनलाई बुद्ध, अरनिको, अमरसिंहको नाम सुन्दा पनि नेपालको नाम उच्च भएको थियो होला भन्ने लाग्दैन । त्यसैले नेपालको इतिहास नै गलत लाग्छ ।</p><p>‘मेरो चोक’ शीर्षकको कवितामा एउटा साँधुरो गल्लीमा रहेको चोकको बारेमा वर्णन गरिएको छ । यसको आशय दुई विशाल देशको बिचमा रहेको साँधुरो ठाउँमा अवस्थित नेपालको वर्णन हो । मानिसले बनाएका देवता र देवताले बनाएका मानिस नै यहाँ दुःखी छन्द भन्ने कुरा प्रष्ट्याइएको छ । यहाँ सब थोक छ मात्र मानिसलाई शान्ति छैन । त्यसकारण यहाँ धनीदेखि गरिब सबैको आआफ्नो मर्म छ भन्न खोजिएको छ ।</p><p><strong>५.</strong> <strong>उपसंहार</strong></p><p>कविताको मूल सार भनेको नेपाल प्राकृतिक, सांस्कृतिक धनी देश हो । तर यी प्राकृतिक स्रोतहरूको उपयोग गर्न नसकेकाले नै होला हजारौं मानिस भोकमा . डुबेका छन् । जडीबुटीको उपयोग नगरेर नै होला लाखौँ मानिस रोगी छन् । नेपाल–को यस्तो नाजुक स्थिति देखेर कुन चाहिँ नेपालीको मन दुख्दैन र ? मलाई पनि आफ्नो देशको यस्तो हालत देखेर निकै दुःख लाग्यो । अब नेपाललाई विकसित र समुन्नत। शान्त, सुन्दर र सौम्य बनाउने कार्यमा हामी सबै नेपाली एकजुट हुनुपर्छ भन्ने भाव ‘गलत लाग्छ मलाई मेरो देशको इतिहास’ र ‘मेरो चोक’ कविताले दिएका छन् ।</p>								</div>

									<p>Nepal is a culturally diversified nation. Nepal has around 124 ethnic groups, and 123 languages, Nepal is considered a multi-religious, multi-cultural and multi-lingual country. Among all the various cultures of Nepal, Newari culture is regarded as one of the most unique and attractive Cultures. Newar, a community with rich original culture and traditions with their domestic place of Kathmandu Valley, they are very rich in its culture and traditions. Major districts such as Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Palpa, Butwal, and Bandipur are mostly dominated by the Newari caste. To be more precise, the Newars are one of the primary reasons behind the rich history, arts, architecture, culture, and business in Nepal and its heritage.</p><p> ‘Newar,’ which refers to ‘Inhabitant of Nepal’, was believed to have originated from a colloquial (natural) form. This name was found for the first time in 1654 in one of the famous inscriptions present in Nepal. Before the start of the Unification campaign, Kathmandu valley was solely ruled by the Newari King precisely known as the Malla kingdom. Hence, The Nepal Mandala and the development of the Newar have a big relation. After forming the Modern State of Nepal, Newars slowly started fading their position and power however, the culture and traditions are still alive and are continued. Today, Newari people are scattered throughout the country for various means.</p><p>Of the huge Culture and traditions, Newars are considered to be engaged with entertainment which can be seen in many traditions, festivals as well as Jatras, Also the Newars have a unique way of food items, preparation, and serving.</p><p>One of the major examples can be taken from the famous Practice of “<strong>Jho Bhuye</strong>”. <strong>Jho Bhuye</strong> is a famous tradition passed from the past generation in which people, their family, relatives, and neighbor sit together in a traditional Straw mat (Sukul)in a descending order ranging from high to low age, eating the food items served in a way that the body gets the nutrition required. It is usually of 4 types, which include:</p><ol><li><strong>Utsab Bhoj (</strong><strong>उत्सव </strong><strong>भोज)-</strong> The bhoj eaten after celebrating an event that occurs once in a lifetime. For example- Weeding, Bratamandha, Gufa, etc.</li><li>2<strong>. Festival Bhoj (</strong><strong>पर्व </strong><strong>भोज)-</strong> The bhoj eaten after celebrating any festival which comes once a year. For example- Dashain, Tihar, Gai Jatra, etc.</li><li><strong>Death Sanskar Bhoj (</strong><strong>मृत्यु </strong><strong>संस्कार </strong><strong>भोज)-</strong> The bhoj eaten after the death of a near one or a relative. It takes place in the 7<sup>th</sup>, 14<sup>th</sup>, 45<sup>th,</sup> and 1<sup>st</sup> yr after the occurred death.</li><li><strong>Puja Aaja Bhoj (</strong><strong>पूजा </strong><strong>आजा </strong><strong>भोज)-</strong> The bhoj taken after worshipping or remembering a specified God or Goddess. For example- Ghar puja, Guthiyar, etc.</li></ol><p><strong>Food items</strong></p><p>The food items present in <strong>Jho Bhuye</strong> are as follows;</p><p>Bitten rice, Meat, Spinach, Peas, Potato, Cucumber, Methi, Pankua, Yogurt, Rice wine, Alcohol, Cauliflower, Fruits, Sweets, Curd, etc.</p><p>The food is separately divided into 4 phases they are as follows:</p><p><strong style="font-size: 19px;">1st phase (</strong><strong style="font-size: 19px;">नहापंगु </strong><strong style="font-size: 19px;">सारा)</strong></p><p>Bitten rice, Radish Pickle (especially), Meat (1-2 pieces), Green garlic, etc.</p><p><strong style="font-size: 19px;">2nd phase (</strong><strong style="font-size: 19px;">निसरा )</strong></p><p>Dyakala( Sub item of meat which contains Gravy ), Legumes, Cauliflower, Potato, etc.</p><p><strong style="font-size: 19px;">3rd phase (</strong><strong style="font-size: 19px;">स्वसरा)</strong></p><p>Legumes, Mushrooms, Methi soup, Pankua, Radish, Chana, etc.</p><p><strong style="font-size: 19px;">4th phase (</strong><strong style="font-size: 19px;">लिपंगुसरा )</strong></p><p>Bhutan, Curd, Small peas, Radishes, Carrots, Cucumber, Fruits, Sweets, etc.</p><p><strong>Importance of Jho Bhuye</strong></p><ul><li>It has great importance in the history of Newar</li><li>It provides sufficient nutrients.</li><li>It saves our culture and tradition.</li><li>It provides importance to local food.</li><li>It uses local products such as Straw Mats (sukul), Leave Plate (Lapte), etc</li><li>It provides a balanced diet</li><li>For family gatherings and Togetherness</li><li>To protect the food item passed by our ancestors</li><li>To Share happiness and Sorrow</li></ul><p>Thus it has many benefits such as providing a balanced diet, It makes our body circulation by use of Sukul, It has serial served food items, It has several beneficial food items, etc.</p><p>Like this <strong>Jho Bhuye</strong> has quite a great importance in the Newar society. According to today’s time, people are often attracted by the western culture of party palace which has resulted in the decrease of <strong>Jho Bhuye</strong> which affected disappearances in our culture. Therefore we should promote <strong>Jho Bhuye</strong> more than other Ceremonies.</p><p>As per this, on the 13<sup>th</sup> of Asoj 2079, our School Mahendra Vidya Ashram held the <strong>Jho Bhuye</strong> program to promote the culture. The program was conducted under school premises by Students of grade 8, me, and my classmates. It was a really good program which resulted in showing now entertaining and good our culture. Even our teacher took part in the program. All Students as well as our Teacher came in Cultural Dress and conducted the program.</p><p>For me, this program will always be remembered in my heart, as well as the Tradition of <strong>Jho Bhuye</strong> which is very amazing. I hope this culture will be present in the future. If I could I would defiantly promote our cultural traditions, as the culture is very amazing and exciting. Therefore, we all can agree that Culture is immensely good.</p>								</div>
